What is ATSU

ATSU is an acronym of A.T Still University. The word A.T. is a name of its founder, Andrew Taylor Still. ATSU often referred to a Medical College in Kirksville, Missouri, United State. For some student, ATSU also refer to medical college in Arizona. Both colleges in Arizona and Kirksville operated under the same university.

Dr. Andrew Taylor Still establish a medical university in 1982. It was named as American School of Osteopathy and further renamed to Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. The name Kirksville College was chosen to represent its current location while Osteopathic Medicine selected due to the specialized study being learnt at the moment. Both of them are self-explanatory.

Since it first time being established, ATSU has growing steadily. In 1995, ASHS was founded in Arizona. ASHS is an acronym of Arizona School of Health Sciences. The college was built in Arizona which focus on health as its primary study being learnt. In 1999, School of Health Management was founded. To enlarge the campus and study, ATSU establish Arizona Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ASDOH) in 2003. Two years later, ASDOH clinic fully operated for public in Arizona. ATSU keeps enlarge the campus for better education. in 2006, SOMA (School of Osteopathic Medicine Arizona) was built to accommodate more students. ATSU has already six schools. They are Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM) , School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (SOMA), Arizona School of Health Sciences (ASHS), School of Health Management (SHM), Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ASDOH) and Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (MOSDOH).
