Albany Law School has served public since 1851 and popular in these programs: student in health law, intellectual property law, international law, government administration and regulation.  The campus is located in 80 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, New York.  It is believed Albany Law School is the only law school within 90 miles from New York’s capital.

Admission

It always has admission every year for the following programs:

1. J.D. (Juris Doctor) Program
   It is Juris Doctor Program which has 15 specialization.
2. Joint-Degree Programs
   It is available by cooperating with another local institution. it has five degree programs.
3. LL.M. (Master of Law) for International Law Graduates
   Student may choose five specialization.
4. LL.M. (Master of Law) for Graduates of U.S. Law School
   It is an academic program which designed for anyone whom willing to learn in New York or other state.
5. 3 + 3 Accelerated Program
   It is special program which allow student to finish undergraduate degree and law degree in six years instead of seven. Only ten students were chosen by the Albany Law School Admissions Committee. The participant of this program are: Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, The College of Saint Rose, Hartwick College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, The Sage Colleges, State University of New York at Cobleskill, Union College, University at Albany – State University of New York and Adelphi University.
6. Transfer Admissions
   Albany Law School accept student from another ABA accredited School.

Academic Degree

All academic degrees in this college will teach student to be a lawyer. The university will teach student to think and act just like a lawyer. After graduation, all student are expected to be a professional in specialized program they have learnt. Currently there are four academic degree programs available.

Juris Doctor

Student may choose three or four years program to be a Juris Doctor. It has fifteen specialization listed below.

Master of Law (LL.M.)

Five advanced Law Degree Program available:

Master of Law (LL.M.) for International Law Graduates

It is specialized for foreigner. It will give international law graduates a qualification to learn in New York or another State. Due to this program, the school has become Favorite University in New York.

Financial Aids

Student in Albany Law School will receive financial aids if they have fulfilled all the requirements to receive it. The financial aids is from internal and third party including loan and state programs.

Scholarship

Student are considered to be ‘independent’ which mean parental income and assets are not counted in determining financial aid eligibility. Student whom learn in Juris Doctor may receive scholarship if they eligible to receive it.
